You can’t rush perfection—it takes time. But it’s time well spent.

Aromas of dried plum, juicy cherry, and white pepper, balanced with flavors of marionberry, sultanas, herbs de Provence and clove that lingers for ages. This very dark garnet wine will leave your glass stained and age in your cellar for years to come.

It took us three long years to find the very best block of Petit Verdot in our Red Hills vineyard, and an additional two years of barrel aging to craft this beautifully balanced wine.

Burgundyの時には何回か行かせて頂きましたが、EMMÉさんになって初めて伺わせて頂きました
アシェットデセールで最近はファンが増えているとのこと…
覗くといつも混んでるので、気になっていました！
グラスワインは赤白それぞれ3種類ずつあり、頂いたのはこちらのカリピノ
お店の方から、いかがですか？って聞かれたんですが、何か物足りないんですよね（何となくごまかしたけど…）
恐らくフレンチオークでBourgogneっぽく造ろうとしているのは伝わってくるんだけど、ちょっと焦点がぼやけているというか、果実味とか厚みがない感じ
うーん笑

Those of you who follow the Merman know he is not a huge fan of big California reds. However, you also know that when he finds one that he likes, it's a winner!!

This 2019 Mendocino blend from Giannecchini Family vinyards is an old world blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Merlot. Bold fruit flavors, nice oak some of that fignewton flavor Merman loves.

Well worth the money and quite reasonable for a Califirnia red of this quality.

Was well paired with a veggie sandwich and tomato, avocado, spinach salad. Really good!!!

2023 has been an incredible growing year. Early and abundant rain healed the vines and soil from the previous 3 years of heat and drought. This season was reminiscent of farming in Northern California decades ago. Mild summers, cold nights, and plenty of rain in winter and spring are natural for this land. There is a lot of noise from other growers about this cool summer being so rare and wineries are worried about getting the fruit harvested ripe, but this is how it used to be.

Up until this year, farming organically was an immense challenge. We just didn't have enough rain to farm. We stopped spraying conventional herbicides and pesticides years ago, but the drought and heat still caused a lot of damage to our vines. We lost so many trees on the ranch, and the landscape, especially at higher elevations, looked sick.

After this ideal growing season, we are seeing abundant growth in both the vines and landscape. This long, cool season will make spectacular wine. The extended hangtime and cool nights keep the grapes hydrated and firm while they take time to ripen.

We feel so blessed, and we're committed to farming in a more sustainable way with as little interference as possible. Farming on these steep volcanic mountain slopes is a challenge, but it's also incredibly rewarding.
