Mother Vine
“The Mother” is a vine brought from Croatia in 1870 by the Ogulin family during their journey through New York to Lake County and has survived for 150 years on our Home Ranch. Along with a small vineyard, the family built a home, hand dug well, livestock barn and a little winery. Remarkably, this primitive homestead still stands today, a testament to the family’s hard work and determination. In honor of this family, 150 years later, this wine finally get its own bottling.
