This salmon-hued wine offers aromas of strawberry, peach, mango, potpourri and dried herbs on the nose. The flavors on the palate are raspberry, watermelon and orange cream, intertwined with allspice, Red Vines, mineral and a dry, supple finish. Pair with grilled octopus.
About this wine
We planted one acre of Cinsault from the original mother wood. We gently pressed it and added some Grenache Rose’ to enhance the midpalate and beautiful fruit characters of this heat loving varietal. Our 2023 Organic Mother Vine Rose’ comes from the mother vine itself. We fermented in stainless steel and use the saignee method of bleeding the juice off the gently crushed berries.
Vintage Notes
2023 was an amazing year! Early spring rains soaked the vines, continuing into early summer with three times the usual rainfall. This cooler, late-ripening vintage allowed for longer hang times, resulting in the darkest reds and intense whites we've seen in years. Look out for vintage 2023 - it's going to be one for the books.
