Mother Vine

Rose 2025

“The Mother”, a vine brought from Croatia in 1870 by the Ogulin family has survived for 150 years on our Home Ranch. Along with a small vineyard, the family built a home, hand dug well, livestock barn and a little winery.

Remarkably, this primitive homestead still stands today, a testament to the family’s hard work and determination. In honor of this family, 150 years later, this wine finally gets its own bottling.

A cold fermentation brings floral notes of white flowers, rhubarb, guava, and raspberries with a clean, crisp finish completes the balance.

Vintage Notes

The 2025 vintage benefited from a longer harvest, allowing grapes to achieve perfect phenolic ripeness and concentration, resulting in vibrant colors, intense aromatics, and rich flavors. Cooler nights preserved balanced acidity while vines remained healthy and photosynthetically active through-out the season, despite early rains. With slightly lower alcohol but impeccable structure and depth, this vintage promises elegance and exceptional quality.
