Vintage Notes

2022 was an extraordinary year in the vineyards. Every few weeks, unusual weather events swept through the warm spring. Summer began with a heat wave reaching 110°F in Lake County, followed by heavy mid-summer rains. The two inches of rain delayed our harvest until the soil dried, and brix levels rose.

It is a wine that is characterized by its potential in color, nose and mouth. Starting with very dense and dark colors. The nose is characterized by black fruits such as blackberries, but well balanced with notes of oak.
