Red Wine 2020
It is a wine that is characterized by its potential in color, nose and mouth. Starting with very dense and dark colors. The nose is characterized by black fruits such as blackberries, but well balanced with notes of oak. In the mouth it is a wine with a lot of weight, body and a sensation in the mouth that envelops the palate with a long aftertaste. It is a wine to enjoy with a good roast meat.

Vintage Notes
The 2020 vintage started out dry and warm. Weeks of 100+ degree weather in early May gave the vines a jump start. The heat held strong until August with a record 116˚ day in July! We started harvest a week earlier than normal, with all white grapes in house and fermenting beautifully by Sept 20th. The temperature cooled down to 80s during the harvest lull and stretched out the hang time on our reds allowing phenolic ripeness of the skins. A welcome cloud cover came on October 10th and allowed the fruit to dehydrate and get more hang time. Tonnages ended up lighter due to low spring rains. We are seeing good color concentration and density in this vintage.

The volcanic soils of Lake County’s Red Hills AVA offer unique conditions that yield a wine rich in intensity and color, with earthy undertones, ripe fruit, and hints of tobacco.
This Pinot Noir, grown in the cool, foggy rolling hills of Napa Carneros, offers notes of woodsy bramble, tart cherry, and toasted oak aromatics. The palate is rich with ripe plum, tart cherry, and spiced flavors, finishing with a soft, velvety vanilla.
