Nero D’Avola 2019

Our Nero d’Avola — a classic Italian varietal — comes from the steep slopes of our High Valley vineyards where the grapes develop firm structure and concentrated flavors.

Floral notes, tart cherries and black tea fills the aroma blending with flavors of fresh plum, toasted walnuts and black olive and notes of dried cherries. They are all distinct notes, but work together in this beautiful ruby garnet wine.

To give the fruit and tannin time to harmonize, we aged the wine in oak barrels for two years. Fun fact: this grape was planted because it's more drought tolerant than Cabernet.
