We consult the past in confronting today’s challenges, and early farming traditions inspire us to reinvent our agricultural approach. 13 Rams is a celebration of that knowledge and forgotten wisdom and is testimony to our conservation and regenerative farming efforts.

About this wine

This wine has a rich and exuberant texture, with aromas and flavors ranging from citrus to tropical fruits. We also find buttery notes and a creamy richness accompanying these flavors, as well as the toasty and vanilla imparted by the oak. On the palate it has a sweet entrance, a lot of weight, leaving a very good aftertaste. This wine is inspired by the sheep we use in our mountain estate vineyards and the 13 rams that propagate the flock. They are an important part of our Project Ovis.

Vintage Notes

In 2021, we experienced mild spring weather and early blooms, followed by a heatwave from May to July. Despite the drought, our sheep helped retain soil moisture, resulting in an early harvest from August 12th to October 20th, producing small but highly concentrated berries. This vintage promises exceptional depth and intensity.

On the nose we find notes of black cherries, plums and hints of herbs, peppers and tobacco. On the palate it’s a complex wine, with a good body and round tannins, with a good fruit-oak balance making it a very elegant wine.

Black Label Red Wine 2021
The aroma is a delightful blend of bright red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry from Grenache, complemented by the darker fruit and peppery notes of Syrah, and the added complexity of earthy and herbal tones from Mourvèdre.
