This classic Bordeaux varietal is an homage to the flock of sheep that play a pivotal role in our constant sustainability efforts. From the Red Hills Vineyard we’ve produced this aromatic, rich, mouth filling wine.
Aromas of sweet tobacco, black currant and cherry. The body is balanced by the acidity, which gives the wine a long finish. Best when decanted 30 minutes and served at room temp. Ready to drink now.
These grapes are grown on the gentle slopes of the Red Hills AVA, close to Clear Lake. The proximity to a massive body of water helps to moderate the temperature throughout the year, protecting the vines from extreme cold and warm temperatures. The grapes are fermented at a cooler temp than other red varieties to preserve aromatics and build complexity.
