Stage 1871 Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
This Cabernet Sauvignon was inspired by the homestead settlers who found their way to California by stage coach. To this day, the 1871 “High Valley Stage” Road, which brought many settlers to Lake County, runs through the Shannon Ridge Mountain Estate Vineyards.
Full-bodied and silky, with flavors of cherries, plum and spice, this wine celebrates the adventurous spirit of that time.
The 2020 vintage started out dry and warm. Weeks of 100+ degree weather in early May gave the vines a jump start. We are seeing good color concentration and density in this vintage.
