Lemons, Lemons, Lemons and Cotton Candy. These are the aromas of the 2022 Vigilance Sauvignon Blanc. This wine has a pale lemon color and a forward aroma of lemon, lemon grass and a hint of clove. Frame this bouquet with the ephemeral fragrance of cotton candy, which elicits whispers of strawberry, caramelized sugar and sweet vanilla…and Wow!
The palate is soft and round but with a powerful backbone of acidity which runs straight and narrow right up the middle to transport the flavors of lemon, lime, grapefruit and vanilla for a long, long time over the palate. The energetic taste of this Sauvignon Blanc lingers, in the mouth, long after the wine is gone.
